It's been a year. We still don't talk about him much, I less than Sarah, I think. I've had my moments of deep sadness, and I still can't be in certain spots without thinking of him. We did finally put a picture out over Christmas, but I don't know that we're ready for the constant reminder.

Max(x) and Remington were exceedingly kind to Sarah yesterday, never leaving her side. I like to think, and I'm sure that she does too, that they were helping her to feel better about some things, remind her that, despite it all, it was for the best, and things worked out the way they were supposed to.
