LifeHeist II

I've been gone. I'm sorry. Things happen. Don't care? Me either. Our ambivalence will be our demise.
Happy Birthday (belated) to William P, and if you are reading this, I need to talk to you about a couple of things, so...you know, reach out, or something.
Life has been hectic, but good. Sarah and I are in the midsts of an ongoing project to change our lives for the better. Recycling more things. Donating old stuff we don't need/use. Getting rid of services that amount to wasted money. Eating better, but still eating well (seriously, Soy Crisps > Chips). We're busy people. Busy busy busy.
Work has been non-stop so far, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Quite the opposite, in fact. 2007 was like my groups Debutante Ball or Barmitzvah or something. 2008 will be the year that we make our mark on VZ Society. Me rikey job security!
How about that MacWorld keynote? MacBook Air! Office 2008! APTVT2! That router with a hard drive! Movie rentals! Actually, I don't care about the movie rentals. I won't ever use them. I'm holding out for the recently announced Netflix/LG STB, and am hoping that it will simply include a price increase and not a 'per movie' fee...and really, all signs point to flat with Netflix, since they just made it so that you could watch as many movies online as you like per month, no extra charge.
Lastly: MacHeist II. Apparently, that boycott that was called for after the 'hacker hoax' hasn't panned out, as they are rapidly approaching the $200,000.00 mark in under a week. No, they aren't entirely open about their business model. No, the developers of the software probably don't get quite the cut that they should. But really, have you SEEN the list of software?! CSSedit, Pixelmator, TaskPaper and Cha-Ching alone are worth it...but through in the other 7 pieces of software, and this is a good deal! Actually, if you're a member of the site, there are some other neat pieces of software, including LaunchBar (for a confirmed referral) and BitLocker. I haven't plopped down for the bundle yet, but I will before it's over. I suggest that all of the Mac users out there do the same.

Oh yeah...
