We're trying to save money. As such, we've been evaluating where we are basically just throwing it away. Given that one of the main reasons people cite for divorce (outside of that always fun 'irreconcilable differences') is money, I think it's very wise and healthy that Sarah and I are both open and honest about our financial state, both as individuals and as a whole.

We switched gyms to one that was a) closer and b) less expensive. We've gotten rid of our unused-in-three-months EVDO card. We're making more considered purchases (in that we think before we buy). Now, we're trying to get rid of our landline (hardly ever used...twice a month, tops) and our second set top box (also hardly ever used, as I'm usually stuck on the computer when I'm in my office) with the home media DVR service.

Now, the thing of it is this: Verizon doesn't seem to operate like a lot of other providers I've used, in that I can't just up and return equipment, no sir. They have to come and *get* the equipment. So I have to be at home. And when they give you an 8am to 10am window, and you have a standing 9am Friday meeting, you're pretty much guaranteed to miss the 'free coffee' train.

It is now 9:47am, and I haven't heard a peep yet. If It takes much longer, I'm going to have to call them...
