So, yesterday was my birthday. I'm 29 now. I don't generally call attention to it ahead of time, and I most definitely try my best to not mention it on the day of...so I tell you all a day late. So there you go.

I started the day at 0500hrs CST, was at work by 0540hrs CST and spent the rest of the day on conference calls and fixing a seemingly endless string of problems. I like my job, but sometimes it gives me a headache. Yesterday gave me a headache.

I did, however, have a lovely dinner with Sarah, spent some good time with the dogs, watched about 5 episodes of Arrested Development (which Sarah had railed against, for fear of becoming addicted...she is now addicted, and also mad at me for subjecting her to it ;), and got in an achievement or two on The Simpsons Game.

Sarah leaves for San Antonio today, for her annual pilgrimage to the TXSHA conference, and won't be back until Saturday afternoon. I am off for the next two days, as well. I plan on gaming like it's going out of style, fixing song names in iTunes and updating my address book to by similar across all platforms (I also want to start getting folks to use my GrandCentral number...more on that later). I'll also be getting started on a couple of new websites, so that'll be good.

Things I want to write about soon:
1) Our home network
2) Our home media server (including workflow for adding new materials)
3) Organizing my increasingly digital life (multi-part)
4) Other Things

Since Sarah will be gone, and I will be interminably lonely, feel free to call me over the next couple of days. I'll likely be exceedingly willing to talk to you!
