A Compendium Of Two Days Knowledge and Experience!

Submitted by bradfucious on Mon, 31/12/2007 - 10:57.

What a week! I can't remember having ever actually ENJOYED my time away from work quite as much as I have the past six days! Seriously...nothing was bad, outside of my usual sinus related issues, and even that wasn't so bad!

I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm a little worried over it, actually. I've been...cheerful, almost. Happy, maybe? Positive...or, really, not as negative. What gives? I'll take it, though, and I'm sure those who share my life with me will take is as well. Because they are takers!

I've been slamming my way through three books lately:
1) Agents of Chaos II (The New Jedi Order Series) by James Luceno
2) I Am American (And So Can You) by Stephen Colbert
3) Texas Gardening: A Month-by-Month Guide by some dude and another dude

This past weekend I managed to rid our front flower bed of dead leaves, dead flowers, dead plants and various other things. I've left the bushes and the decorative grasses and also planted seven hydrangea bulbs (just in time, too). I'm looking forward to going to various nurseries with Sarah's mom come spring time. Sarah also helped me to pull up all of the grass and weeds around the A/C unit and then lay down that black gardening paper and line the edges with pebbles. Once complete, it will look much nicer than it had previously, and may even play home to a variety of potted cacti.

Penny Lane (Sarah's Beetle) is also cleaner than she's been in years, thanks to a three hour scrubbing and polishing by yours truly.

We're also getting close to having picked our colors for the wedding and settling on a menu for the happy occasion...more on that later.

Xbox Live has, apparently, been having a bevy of problems over the past week, and I have not been one of the lucky few to escape the horrors of it all. Actually, it's pretty much just kept me from being able to post times and the like in PGR4, but still...running the same race twice in a row is a right pain.

There was other stuff, but I had a household emergency that I had to tend to, and so it is now forgotten the ages.
